This past month the Uruguayan team has given all the Uruguayans something in common, something to smile everyday even if our days were terrible. They prove to the world that with humbleness and hard work everything is possible.
The Uruguayan team has finally archived what for 40 years our country was looking for, being in the top 4 of the world cup. Considering that our nation is 2nd smallest country in South America, what they have done is beyond expected. This team was never the favourite, it was never taken into consideration to be a complicated opponent, but they showed that that doesn’t matter because if you give the best of you and you do it from the bottom of your heart you can accomplished unthinkable things. Moreover these players were more than just a team they were friends and people that had a same goals, making history and make their country proud. Because of them now the world knows where Uruguay is and how its people are. They were gentlemen out and in the field, they respected everyone and they believed that they were all equal, no one was better. They made this world cup unforgettable for Uruguayans because no one will forget the hand of Suarez, the penalty that “El Loco” Abreu shoot, Forlan’s goals, the way “El Ruso” Perez or Fucile played, the courage of Lugano and Godin, Muslera thanking the crossbar after Gyan failed the penalty in last minutes because they will be remember forever.
All in all, we have to be thankful to our Uruguayan team because they played with their heart. They taught us that everything is possible of we work hard and be the better person that we can be many dreams can be accomplished.
